June 2018: Sculptures with Students

Working with school groups this month has certainly kept me on my toes!

Doing whole day sculpture workshops is as intensive as it is creative, but well worth it to see the children able to start and finish a masterpiece in one day.

I love to see them embrace the challenge with no inhibitions or obstacles like ‘getting it right’, the way adults do. And even though the brief is the same for everyone, the results are completely diverse and unique.

I get as much out of these workshops as the students do and their enthusiasm re-charges my creative battery too.
