Savannah Marshall: 2015

 Commissioned by Hartlepool Town Council

As a result of the Inspire Exhibition I undertook in early 2015, Hartlepool Town Council commissioned me to create a permanent reminder of the project.

The subject was Savannah Marshall, a local girl made good – she won a gold medal in Ladies Boxing in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Once again I took Savanah’s actual measurements so that the sculpture would truly reflect her physique. I also added light embellishment in the form of gold wire boxing clubs in recognition of her win in Glasgow.
